People were talking about procedurally-generated landscapes back when Unity 4 came out years ago. Those AI-generated hours are pretty sweet, but it still feels like it'll be years before anything becomes commercial. The future will be about good writing rather than impressive graphics, as it has been this past decade.
I REALLY wish game developers would have put more effort into making their games FEEL real as opposed to LOOKING real. Everything looks great on the surface but immediately plunges into the uncanny valley the moment any interaction starts.

I've used AI for my Major's project, it's not that simple how it looks
I know this is from 2019 but wowza. AI is going to get insane and I wonder what that'll do to the world.
I used to use unreal engine quite a bit.
Now UE5 has released and it's insane to see how far we've came with new tech and software.
